This image was made in Apophysis 2.05 and postwork was done in Photoshop. It took me nearly 2 hours of playing around to get the detail I wanted in this fractal and another hour of postwork for coloring. Render time was 1.5 hours.
Originally created for as an image for the header graphic on a gallery site. This image went on to win a C3D Challenge!
This fractal image was created in Apophysis 2.05 and edited in Photoshop. I set out to create this image wanting to capture a “flowing” type fractal similar to hot liquid metal. I was originally going to use black and orange for the coloring but accidentally stumbled upon the set of colors you see in the final image in which I think has a calmer feel.
This is a fractal piece made with Apophysis 2.05. Photoshop was used to enhance some of the coloring. I really enjoyed this piece as it reminds me of some kind of swirled ice cream. Something you’d enjoy on a hot day. I was trying to create a “calm” sense with the colors I used without making the image to “bland”.
